Imago Dei:

Finding purpose and significance in our life can often be an all-consuming preoccupation, and in every stage of life, it seems that the answer to this question always changes. But what if there is one clear answer to our meaning and existence? What if the answer to our longing isn’t a “what” but a “who”? What if the answer lies outside of ourselves? What if it lies in a Maker who has carefully designed us in His image?

In God’s Word, we see that we are loved, and we are made for a purpose that lies beyond ourselves. But that means shifting our perspectives and knowing the Maker who empowers us to live out our intended purpose. By grace, He redeems us. This is the Gospel. And as we live our lives, we see that the Gospel permeates every aspect as we are transformed more and more into His likeness.

What would it look like to live in light of this knowledge and in light of the Gospel? What would it look like to live as beings made worthy to bear His image?

Join us on Nov. 23 – 25, 2017 for our church’s annual Thanksgiving retreat as we get out of our normal setting to relax, grow deeper in the Lord, and fellowship with one another.

Giving Opportunity:

Sponsor a Friend:

This year our church seeks to be more missional and intentional in our action so that the name of Christ may be glorified throughout all generations. One very practical way to do this is to invite friends to join us during our annual retreat and sponsor their attendance. Although Thanksgiving is often a joyous family time, many actually experience sadness and loneliness, which is especially felt during Thanksgiving and the holiday seasons.

Invite them to come and join! This is also an opportunity to bring friends who do not yet know Christ.

If you would like to sponsor a friend to come to this retreat, add2017 Thanksgiving Retreat – name of person you want to sponsor in the memo section of your check. Even if you are not going to retreat this year, consider sponsoring someone. Let’s share Christ’s warmth and love in this practical way.

Donate:

Did you know that each year our church subsidizes a significant portion of the retreat costs? For adults,
Subsidized Fee – $135
Unsubsidized Fee = $200

Thanksgiving Retreat is a beloved annual tradition where we spend time not only with our own family, but also with our church family. This tradition has blessed us with 34 years of fellowship and blessings in His Word. Please consider making a general donation today. To do so,  add “2017 Thanksgiving Retreat – general” in the memo section of your check.*Registration Fees cover only accommodation and meals. Other retreat costs such as supplies for activities, games, snacks, and speaker fees are supported by your generous donations.

You can make these donations as you pay or drop it in the offering basket during our services on Sunday beginning Sunday October 8, 2017.

If you cannot make a donation at this time, that is alright!  Please join us in prayer for the hearts of those attending and for our speakers. We thank you very much for your prayers, support and encouragement.
