ANNOUNCEMENT
1. We would like to welcome everyone who joins our service. May the Lord bless us all the days of our life! Everybody is invited to join our service every Sunday, as well as other fellowships and activities. After the service, please stay for some refreshments and fellowship in the kitchen area.
2. As part of the celebration of our church 30th anniversary on September 19 from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM in IEC San Francisco, Ev. Tony Ong Teck Meng will be ordained as a pastor. The theme for the anniversary is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” and the speaker will be Rev. Dr. Moses Yang from New Jersey (CEM bishop). After the service, there will be lunch and carnival. As our thankfulness to God, you are welcome to take part in inviting friends/families (you may get the invitation from the care ministry) and providing support for the cost of the food (3 main dishes and 1 dessert) for a total cost of $1,350. Please make a note on the check/envelope “food for church anniversary”. Help in different areas (transportation, facility, food preparation, children etc.). 3. Rev. Kristianto Hosea from IEC LA will be preaching in our 30th anniversary combined Sunday service on Sep. 20. Take this opportunity to invite friends and family.
4. The church will have a “Christmas Tour” to Grand Circle of Nevada, Utah and Arizona from December 21 – 26. The cost is $470.00 per person for double room, $390.00 per person for triple room and $350.00 per person for quad room. The cost covers accommodation and transportation only (meals, admission fees and tips are not included). The registration will be closed by September 13 with minimum of 50 people, otherwise it will be cancelled. 5. Pemuda IEC SF/SJ would like to invite all of the IEC members to join us in a time of worship, reflection, and retreat from our usual activities at the IEC Fall Retreat 2015. The retreat will be held on November 26-28, 2015 at Redwood Christian Park, and the theme is Desiring God, led by Dr. Steve Korch (English only). The cost for a 4 to 8 person room is $125/person, and the cost for a 2-person room is $150/person. Registration can be done at www.tinyurl.com/fallretreat15. 6. For those who want to contribute for the 2016 refreshment (Jan – July), you may write your name on the list that is on the bulletin board near the kitchen.
7. The church library is open every Sunday from 11:45 – 12:30 PM. Everybody is encourage to use this facility to nurture your faith and increase your knowledge through the spiritual reading.
8. Prayer meeting committee is inviting everybody to join the fellowship, sharing and praying together every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Let’s support God’s work and the needs in prayer.
9. There will be Holy Communion next week (September 13) and you may bring your tithe to the Lord. Please prepare to take part in the communion.
10. We will be starting the Family Small Group (s) next week, where parents got chance to be encouraged and grow together in faith and parenting journey. The material: Parenting by the Book by John Rosemond. Meanwhile the kids will be learning from “What’s in the Bible” DVD series. Time: every second Sunday of the month from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at church.
