Jesus gives us an example by cleaning our hearts voluntarily; thus, we clean Jesus’ house voluntarily.
Every Sunday, we need 2 people to vacuum the classrooms and to mop the Noah’s
Ark upstairs after class. On the 5th Sunday, in addition to that,
we will clean the windows and doors; thus, we need 5 people to help. If you

In light of Many Hands Make Light Work Program, the food from downstairs cannot be eaten upstairs.
STAIRS CAUTION
It brought to our attention that some children are playing went up and down the stairs after
Sunday school hours. PARENTS: please do not leave your children unattended.

CHURCH BUILDING DEDICATION & GRAND OPENING ~ Saturday,
September 20 from 11-3 PM.
It will be a very fun event with cotton candy, face painting and carnival-like activities (if
weather permitting)! To ensure we have enough cotton candy for every kid, RSVP
is mandatory. For those who RSVP will also receive a name tag ready with the

Teacher Maria Joana, and Teacher Stella Suryajaya. The birthday students will receive 200 points
which can be redeemed at the next The ARK Store (August 31).
The students will be praying for people in Indonesia this month, so the menu will
be Indonesian snacks in honor of Indonesian’s Independence Day. Menu:
mango ice cream on bread. Bring friends to enjoy the delicious Indonesian
snacks!
For these 3 months we will support and pray for our missionary to Africa, Ms. Fina Linan as she will visit us from July 1 – September 22. After this date, her plan is going to Thailand
for film training, then going back to Burkina Faso. If you wish to make
monetary donation to support her, please write a check to IEC with a note: NurfinaLinan Furlough.

Every 3rd Sunday during class time, the students receive a 3×5 card with 2 teachers’ names. The students will hunt the signature of the teachers. When the students show the signed card to
Teacher Clara, he/she will get extra 10 points (5 points for getting 1 teacher’s signature). The purpose of the Scavenger Hunt is to encourage the students to get to know the
congregations
FOURTH SUNDAY is ATTENDANCE SUNDAY ~ AUGUST 24
The Attendance Sunday Reward will be given to students who come on all four Sundays in a row (on the first, second, third,and fourth Sundays). The students will receive 10 extra points on the fourth
Sunday from the classroom teacher. We do not count the 5th Sunday.
FIFTH SUNDAY is THE ARK STORE SUNDAY ~ AUGUST 31
Bring all points to the store for new merchandise! Remember the store hours are from 11:15 – 11:45 AM. All sales are final. Please note that some of the merchandise is used and we are
not responsible of what the children buy at the store. Therefore,parents, please
accompany your children at the store to ensure they will buy the right
merchandise.
DONATION for the ARK Store will be received on August 17 and 24.
