This year our church seeks to be more missional and intentional in our action so that the name of Christ may be glorified throughout all generations. One very practical way to do this is to invite friends to join us during our annual retreat and sponsor their attendance. Although Thanksgiving is often a joyous family time, many actually experience sadness and loneliness, which is especially felt during Thanksgiving and the holiday seasons. Invite them to come and join! This is also an opportunity to bring friends who do not yet know Christ.
DID YOU KNOW
Each year our church subsidizes a significant portion of the retreat costs
For every adult's fee ($140), the church subsidizes $65 ($200.00 approximate unsubsidized fee based on last year's calculation)
*Registration Fees cover only accommodation and meals. Other retreat costs such as supplies for activities, games, snacks, and speaker fees are supported by your generous donations.
Thanksgiving Retreat is a beloved annual tradition where we spend time not only with our own family, but also with our church family. This tradition has blessed us with 36 years of fellowship and blessings in His Word. Please consider making a general donation and drop the check in the offering basket during our services on Sunday beginning Sunday October 6, 2019. Be sure to add “2019 Thanksgiving Retreat - general” in the memo section of your check.
If you would like to sponsor a friend to come to this retreat, add “2019 Thanksgiving Retreat - name of person you want to sponsor” in the memo section of your check. Even if you are not going to retreat this year, consider sponsoring someone. Let’s share Christ’s warmth and love in this practical way.
If you cannot make a donation at this time, that is alright! Please join us in prayer for the hearts of those attending and for our speakers. We thank you very much for your prayers, support and encouragement.

Yes. We encourage you to come at the latest by the time of our Session 1, so you can join in on a full day of fun and fellowship.
We encourage you to stay for the entire retreat, but understand if you have to leave early.
Room requests may be made on the online registration form. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee them. You will know your final room assignments on check-in day.
The weather has generally been mild. A warm jacket would be a good idea, and if you get cold easily, maybe a sweater or a cardigan. Dress comfortably, and don’t forget to bring your IEC Retreat shirt (if you purchased one!) We will take a group picture with our shirts on Friday.
The trip can take anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic and where you're coming from. We advise you to plan ahead and check traffic conditions online before you leave.
No, unfortunately we are not arranging an official carpool. We encourage you to reach out to brothers and sisters in your community groups. Consider speaking to a greeter on Sunday to get help on possibly finding others who may want to carpool and live in your local area.
There will be ample free time during the afternoon on Friday for napping, playing board-games, jamming, hanging out, working out in the hotel gym, skipping over to the nearby McDonald's, coffee shop, and other activities. No matter what you choose to do, we encourage you to be intentional and seek the Lord during your time.
