This week, we closed Missio Dei with the in-depth study of the Great Commission. The focus of the commission is making disciples. A disciple is a learner or a student and a follower. It’s a great honor to receive commission from the King of kings. Jesus affirmed His kingship before giving the commission: “All authority on earth and in heaven has been given to Me.” The King has spoken and commissioned us to make disciples and be a disciple wherever we go. This commission might sound intimidating because of its scope and magnitude, but Jesus assured us with His continual presence as we faithfully carry out this commission.
