ANNOUNCEMENT
1. We would like to welcome everyone who joins our service. May the Lord bless us all the days of our life! Everybody is invited to join our service every Sunday, as well as other fellowships and activities. After the service, please stay for some refreshments and fellowship in the kitchen area.
2. Once again, Congratulations to Yanny & Marcel Prasetya who dedicated their daughter Novelia Prasetya. Margaret Hing & Avi Luu who dedicated their son, and grandson from Rini & Yung Ciang Hing, Jaxon Hing Luu. Congratulations on joining the IEC extended family to Sansan Melissa & Jemmy Hendrianto and their two sons Glenn & Ray Lee.
3. International Justice Mission (IJM) is hosting an event called IJM Liberate Local Prayer Gathering where people can hear more about IJM from individuals who are currently working on the field to combat Modern Day Slavery and pray together as a community for the ministry in human trafficking. Sunday, May 5 at 7pm at Venture Church, 16845 Hicks Road, Los Gatos, CA 95032. Please reach out to Vinia or Rini Buntaran if you are interested to sign-up.
4. Discipleship Training will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 to 3.30PM. There will be 4 sessions:

Session 1: 10.00 – 11.00 “A Call For a Disciple” by Rev.Jordan Wong
Session 2: 11.15 – 12.15 “The Spiritual Discipline of a Disciple” by Rev.Jordan Wong
Session 3: 13.00 – 14.00 “The Care of a Disciple” by TBA
Session 4: 14.15 – 15.15 (IS & ES combined session for small group leaders):

“The Maker of a Disciple” by Rev.Kevin Lee

All are invited but committees and sub-committees members, those involved in care ministry, and small group/Bible Study group leaders are required to attend this workshop. Pray that this workshop will equip you to serve Him better.

5. IEC San Jose is inviting all couples (dating/engaged/married with no kids) to join our first ever Couples Fellowship on Saturday, May 4th from 5pm to 8pm at Joe and Yeye’s residence. 6. Our local mission trip to FIRM (Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries) serving the Hmong, Laotian and Syrian tribes is planned to take place on July 19-21. Activities include: prayer walks, children VBS, door-to-door evangelism, community service. It costs $100/person (transportation, meals, accommodation). Please register by May 19 to Erwin Widiarta, Lavinia Harjono or Rini Buntaran. Please pray for this mission trip.
7. Mission trips to Indonesia, Tagulandang Island and Siau Island in Menado will be held on August 1-4. The cost will be IDR 6.6 million or IDR 7.6 million (add to Tomohon). Registration will be closed on May 26 and prices will change after that date. 22 people have registered for the trip. For those who are planning to take part in the trip, please contact Erwin Widiarta or Rev. Hosea.
8. A reminder for those who have shared the gospel, to write the number and put it in the “Target 5,000 People Hear the Gospel” box at the desk in front of library. The total of people who have heard the Gospel last March (5 churches) was 299 people. Take and use tracts, DVDs and other materials on the table as a tool in sharing the gospel of Jesus’ salvation.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR THE WEEK
1. Ministry: regular (Prayer Meeting, Young Adults, EBF, SBF, small groups, music training), Discipleship Training May 11, mission trip to Fresno & Manado.
2. Congregations: those who are sick (Hansel’s grandfather, Sujono Tan), pregnant (Tressia Hing & Olivia Tan), for those who have struggles (study, work, residence visa, family, etc.).
3. Growth: attendance, spirituality (faith, love, hope, reading the Bible, sharing about our Risen Jesus).
4. Country: Indonesia (security after elections, newly elected president), USA, Taiwan, Malaysia.
